Hélène Darroze
7,
Rue d'Assas

Impressive
and cosmopolitan, Landes region (between Bordeaux and Biarritz) cuisine
featuring Bayonne ham and lots of duck. An instant classic and well deserving of its restaurant
gastronomique status. Darroze is
acclaimed for being a breath of fresh air in the closed confines of haute
cuisine. Try anything, the chicken
the fish, or fois gras ravioli with white truffles lovingly shaved over an ample
portion. Luckily, the Luxembourg Gardens are nearby to walk off your meal.
